The Role
The Country HR Director – Argentina will act as a pivotal partner and member of the senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the International Head of Human Resources, this role carries substantial weight, overseeing HR operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Argentina and managing a workforce comprising several thousand employees. With a keen eye for operational excellence, the Country HR Director – Argentina will review existing practices, enhancing HR capabilities within manufacturing sites to drive efficiency and productivity. This role is a critical conduit between ground-level insights and corporate strategy, ensuring alignment and effective communication channels between local operations and international stakeholders. This leader will demonstrate strong change management and communication skills. A hands-on approach at the site level underscores the commitment to mentorship and talent development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and leadership excellence. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s future trajectory in Argentina and beyond through strategic leadership and collaborative partnerships.
The Individual
Qualified candidates will have at least 15 years in senior HR Business Partnering roles within matrixed world-class multinational environments. They will be strong in the fundamentals of HR, especially organization design, talent management, and strategic workforce planning. Robust union experience and a solid working knowledge of Argentinian labor law is a must. Candidates must have managed HR for complex manufacturing operations with multiple site oversight. A strong leader who has superior stakeholder management skills and can effectively influence in a multi-functional regional matrix will be needed. In addition, this role requires superior stakeholder management skills and change management experience. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams, leveraging their leadership prowess to inspire excellence and drive results. Desirable industry experience includes industrial/manufacturing, chemical, mining, and those which involve heavy capital investment. Full fluency in Spanish and English (both spoken and written) is required.
