To continue their quest in remaining best in class, our client has retained ChapmanCG to identify a Senior Director of Total Rewards to be based in New York. As one of the world’s most prestigious brand houses, the requirement to have world-class talent join the HR fold has never been more important. The senior leadership teams continues to invest in top talent and deems the Senior Director of Total Rewards to be a pivotal hire for the Human Resource team, which is working through a global transformation.

The Role

The Senior Director of Total Rewards is a key member of the HR leadership team and a fundamental contributor supporting a large HR business transformation. He/she will lead the strategic planning, development, enhancement, administration and communication of compensation and benefit policies and programs across the organization. The Senior Director of Total Rewards will work towards maximizing total compensation and value by driving the strategic planning for future programs that align with the company’s philosophy. Additional goals within this role are to keep the company market competitive with compensation and benefit programs that attract, retain and support the culture while ensuring compliance with all associated regulatory requirements. The role will communicate the organization’s total rewards strategy as it relates to base salary, variable pay, equity, benefits and work/life components consistent with the company’s total reward philosophy. It will also ensure effective tools are in place to manage total rewards planning and administration, and partner with key stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasts for budgeting, reporting and other analytics. This is a highly visible and large-impact role, working in an autonomous environment with a leadership team with an appetite for change.  

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of increasing responsibility and experience within HR and Compensation and Benefits in a leadership capacity. He/she should have knowledge and experience across the spectrum of broad-based total rewards programs and demonstrated experience creating and implementing strategy in a forward-thinking and creative manner. The successful applicant should have very strong business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the senior executive team. Exceptional communication skills are also necessary, coupled with experience of working with C-Suite executives.
