Our client is a leading pharmaceutical giant and we are working closely with them to appoint a Head of HR for China. What makes this business striking is its warm culture and growth strategy,particularly in the China region. The business is streamlined and promotes open communication and an approachable leadership team. The global revenue is in excess of U.S. 7billion dollar with over 5,000 employees. This role can be based in either Shanghai or Beijing.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Senior HR Director APAC based in Singapore, you will lead a team of two. You will draw on resources from the China HR team and work with the Global CoE team to deliver. Additionally, the China HR Head will interface with a whole host of business stakeholders to make a strategic impact and focus on designing and delivering appropriate talent planning activities to identify talent & leadership development priorities.

The Individual

You should be a robust HR Generalist who has experience within a highly matrixed multinational environment. Relevant healthcare industry experience would be ideal but is not critical. If you enjoy a combination of ‘hands-on’ work while implementing strategies for the business, you will appreciate this challenge. Fluent English is desired, as this person will need to work closely with the reginal leadership team.
