Global ManagementSteve has worked for over two decades in the executive search and talent industry across multiple international markets, including the UK/Europe, Australia, Singapore, the Chinese mainland, and Hong Kong. Throughout his career, he has successfully executed numerous high-profile HR searches at the Chief, EXCO, and regional levels, spanning diverse industry sectors. His true passion lies in fostering lifelong relationships with CHROs, HR Leaders, and CEOs, advocating for a skills-based approach to enable inclusive and connected workplaces.
Steve is responsible for leading our world-class consulting team across APAC and EMEA, helping companies transform and accelerate growth by identifying and placing the best commercially astute CHROs and HR leadership teams who will elevate, drive, and sometimes challenge, the people agenda. By promoting the recognition and utilisation of diverse skill sets, we can drive creativity and exceptional performance.
Steve is a member of the Executive Committee at ChapmanCG.

Katherine Qu
Managing Director
Consulting TeamKatherine Qu is a Managing Director based in Singapore. Since joining ChapmanCG in 2014, she has worked with the team across APAC and around the world to identify the top HR talent across Greater China, Singapore, SEA and APAC.
Before joining us, Katherine ran her own executive search business in Beijing focusing on senior executive roles for leading Chinese companies in the consumer, healthcare and real estate industries. She has also held positions with Hudson and Charterhouse Partnership leading the Healthcare practice and HR function respectively. Katherine’s corporate experience has spanned many different sectors with global leaders such as PepsiCo, Pfizer and Lenovo.
Born in China and educated in both China and the United States, Katherine achieved her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. She has worked in China, Singapore and the United States and speaks both Mandarin and English fluently.

Global ManagementBen Davies is the CEO at ChapmanCG and is responsible for the continued expansion of the business globally.
He has played a pivotal role in driving ChapmanCG’s rapid growth across the Americas, EMEA and the Asia Pacific. Ben’s previous experience included leading senior executive search assignments for top multinationals in EMEA, North America and the Asia Pacific for ChapmanCG and prior to that, for the London office of Korn/Ferry International. His global mandate includes enhancing ChapmanCG’s ties with global client headquarters in EMEA and North America.
Ben is passionate about best practice executive search and recruitment methodologies and processes. As a result, he has a heavy focus on driving innovation internally at ChapmanCG. He also advises key clients as they build their businesses internationally, and in particular across rapid-growth and emerging markets.
Ben studied Sports Science at the University of Wales, Cardiff. He has successfully completed ultra-marathons in Mongolia and Ecuador.

With over a decade of expertise in HR search and consulting, Kalkin brings in-depth market insights and observations during the rapid evolution of the Human Resources profession in China.

Born and raised in Shanghai, Kalkin is a citizen of the world and enjoys travelling, as well as spending quality time with his family and friends.
The Chinese economy experienced astonishing growth in the last few decades that catapulted the country to become the world’s second-largest economy. Even with Covid-19 disruptions, the recovery of economic activity has been swift and growth is expected to maintain. China continues to be a country of great focus for businesses around the world.
