With an ambitious investment and thinking around Talent Management in Research and Development (R&D) and a major culture change agenda, we are excited to be leading the search to identify a new Global Head of Talent and L&D who can bring new insights, whilst building and driving the function forward.

The Role

Partnering with the Global Head of R&D HR and the wider Leadership team, the new Head of Talent and L&D will use their deep expertize to shape and drive the strategic integrated, future focused and best in class talent management agenda within the R&D Business. This is an area of high value add and the position needs to ensure integration between internal talent management, external recruitment and robust pipelining, with the L&D agenda at the forefront of all discussions and processes. The role will build a high quality, diverse talent pipeline focused on critical capabilities for the business – a true differentiator and competitive advantage. The Head of Talent and  L&D will be a change agent, thought leader and challenger who will champion a ‘culture of talent’.  

The Individual

This is a global role and you must have a specific understanding of the global R&D talent landscape, deep talent management and L&D expertize as well as extensive US experience. To be successful, you will have a proven track record of driving best in class programmes partnering with key leaders have a strategic mindset and solid understanding of the challenges that a business may face in recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. Strong EQ and high energy will be essential, with extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and specifically Research and Development.
