It has been a busy start to 2022, with our HR network saying that this year is not about looking back over the ups and downs of the last two years but moving forward and re-affirming plans. The use of technology in the HR space has been an area of development which we cover here. We also continue to look at well-being which will clearly be a growing focus for HR in the future.

Global ManagementStefanie Cross-Wilson is President and COO at ChapmanCG, based in Los Angeles. Along with the other members of the company’s executive team, Stefanie is responsible for the day-to-day running of ChapmanCG. She also leads complex HR searches globally for ChapmanCG’s top clients.
Before joining ChapmanCG, Stefanie was President, Recruitment & Talent Management for North America at Hudson (NASDAQ: HSON). Prior to that she lived and worked in Asia for over 20 years, most recently as Hudson’s Asia CEO.
Stefanie has worked extensively with leading multinational employers across a broad range of geographies and industries. Working closely with HR and business leadership teams, she advises on the development and implementation of best practice HR and Talent strategies.
Stefanie is originally from Chicago and a graduate of Sydney University in Australia. She is an international speaker and subject matter expert on global Human Resources and Talent Acquisition trends, and working cross-culturally.

Global ManagementMatthew (Matt) Chapman is the Founder of ChapmanCG.
He has also created the Thrive HR Exchange, a global community platform for people leaders and HR professionals to find and exchange inspiration, ideas and insights. Discover some of his interviews with HR leaders here.
Matt has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Law from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a Singapore Citizen and divides his time between Asia Pacific, the Americas and EMEA.
Matt is a wellness, self-improvement and fitness addict. He has completed six desert, 250km ultra-marathons in Chile, China, Egypt, Antarctica, Namibia and Madagascar.

Senior Director
Consulting TeamRingo is a Senior Director with ChapmanCG based in Hong Kong. His role involves in-depth research and analysis to seek out high-calibre HR talent across the Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on Hong Kong and North Asia. He also assists the group in the design and delivery of strategic internal projects involving process and operation development.
Before joining ChapmanCG, Ringo did several internships as a business analyst and photographer. He holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Organisational Analysis from the Warwick Business School, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
Outside of work, Ringo enjoys travelling, outdoor activities and photography. Prior to his move to study abroad, he was one of Hong Kong’s top competitors in athletics.

Frieder Rummel
Executive Advisor
Executive AdvisorFrieder Rummel is an Executive Advisor for EMEA with ChapmanCG based in Vienna, Austria. He supports the EMEA team to build relationships with CHROs and global HR leaders in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a primary focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Frieder also works as a leadership consultant and coach, and he leads assessment and talent projects for ChapmanCG. His experience involves decades of intense corporate work, including 18 years with Procter & Gamble, 12 years with Allianz and three years with Hershey’s.
Frieder has worked in Germany and Austria and, most recently, spent eight years in Asia. The focus of his work has been on Human Resources, but he has also spent time as a Managing Director and Head of IT, as well as acting as a company spokesperson. His last corporate role before joining ChapmanCG was as Senior Director, Human Resources, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Hershey Company.
Frieder is originally from Germany and holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Philipps University Marburg and a Doctorate in Mathematics from Technical University Darmstadt. He speaks both German and English fluently. In his spare time, Frieder enjoys nature and culture and has completed more than a dozen full marathons, with half a dozen in tropical climates.

Andrea is originally from the Republic of Ireland and has spent over seven years living and studying in New York, Hawai’i, China, Japan, and Singapore. Outside of work Andrea loves to travel, dance and spend time with family.

Consulting TeamStanislav Medvedev is a Director with ChapmanCG based in Berlin and is responsible for search mandates across Germany and Europe while keeping close contact with our local networks. Stanislav, who speaks German, English and Russian, has fifteen years experience with serving clients in Germany, UK and Eastern Europe.
In his last role with Egon Zehnder, Stanislav led global operations in the services sector. Building on his experience across industries he successfully executed client projects in various sectors across functions including Human Resources.
Stanislav started his career with McKinsey where he worked on client projects across industries and set up and developed the Moscow research team. This was followed by nine years with Munich Re where he worked as sales manager for global clients in property reinsurance.
Stanislav studied Business Administration and Economics in Germany, Russia and South Africa.
In his free time, he enjoys travelling, snowboarding and hiking.

Consulting TeamDee Karsan is a Director with the ChapmanCG team based in Japan. He has over six years of recruitment experience across Asia Pacific and Japan.
Prior to joining Chapman CG, Dee worked as a Senior Consultant focussing on senior-level HR searches including HR Head/Directors, HR Business Partners and Heads in specialised functional COE areas. He has worked across all industries with particular success in Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Technology.
Originally from London, Dee relocated to Japan in 2015. When he is not recruiting, he enjoys playing a variety of sports and has a strong passion for food, exploring different cuisines as well as cooking and is also a keen pool player.

Prior to her recruitment career, Orelia worked at Bloomberg LP in Hong Kong as a Client Services and Analytics Representative.
Orelia is originally from Hong Kong and has had an international career based in USA, Singapore, and Germany. Outside of work Orelia enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching football, exercising, and travelling.

René Rosso

Consulting TeamRené Rosso is a Managing Director at ChapmanCG based in Germany, leading the ChapmanCG consulting team and offering in the region. His focus is on senior and executive search mandates while partnering with local and global clients across DACH, EMEA and globally.
René has more than 15 years experience and knowledge in the recruitment industry, having spent the last 10 years focusing on HR positions across sectors. Prior to joining ChapmanCG René helped set up and launch three recruitment agencies in Germany, including Robert Walters and Frazer Jones where he also led the German business as Managing Director and Partner.
René studied political sciences, Anglo-American history and English and holds a diploma in Information Economics from the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. Before moving into the recruitment business in 2006, René worked in the media sector as an information specialist, including RTL, one of Europe’s biggest broadcasting companies.
René, who supports Borussia Mönchengladbach, enjoys quality time with family and friends, going to concerts and loves being outside going on hikes or competing in his local triathlon club.
