The Company

We are partnering with a 5,000+ employee, highly acquisitive, global entertainment company that is enjoying a period of substantial growth. As part of its portfolio expansion this industry leading organization has recently started a new business and is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director to work closely with senior leaders across the business to build, integrate, and execute its people strategies. Noteworthy is that acquisition is a key focus of its growth plan.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this People and Culture Director will be a key member of the People and Culture leadership team and a fundamental contributor supporting an ongoing People Operations and business transformation. While this position will interface with all levels of the company, the People and Culture Director will work closely with the brand leadership and people and culture teams to help develop and implement leading-edge talent processes and employee relations practices. This is a high impact role that will enjoy a strong partnership with the CPO focused on M&A due diligence, integration, and implementation. The People and Culture Director will be working in an autonomous environment with the support of a leadership team who desires to attract and retain best in class talent across the organization. Please note that this is currently an individual contributor role, with the team expected to grow over time.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have a broad base of human resources experience including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and change management (specifically associated with mergers and acquisitions). This individual must have proven themselves as a proactive, strategic business partner who genuinely “gets” what drives the business and is comfortable with a seat at the table. This individual should have demonstrated an ability to operate in an edgy environment, where pushing the boundaries and finding new ways of doing things is the norm. They must be confident in terms of senior stakeholder management. The person in this role should possess a drive-for-results with the ability to translate complex, strategic topics into specific, understandable goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables. Exceptional communication skills are necessary to effectively work closely with the senior executive team. A background in technology, gaming, online, or digital companies is preferred.
