The Role

The Human Resources Director, Mexico will report to the CHRO and serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Mexico Operations. They will be responsible for leading the country-level human resources function. This role will elevate the country-level human resources function by increasing the capacity of their team members to serve their clients while also expanding the understanding of local market challenges to global corporate leadership. They will lead a well-established HR team to drive transformation in capabilities, commitments, right volume, and quality. Given the ever-changing labor market in Mexico, this leadership role will require the ability to build relationships at all levels of labor and serve as the global representative for negotiations, leveraging their experience with unions.  

The Individual

The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Director, Mexico role will be bilingual, with a deep understanding of the local Mexican market dynamics and the ability to effectively translate them to global corporate leadership. This individual will bring a proven track record of navigating complex union environments in the Mexican manufacturing realm and possess strong negotiation skills. As a people leader, he/she will have experience elevating their team members’ capacity to better support the growth of the business. This leader will bring creativity, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to their work. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and a steady hand in fluid situations to be a safe middle ground for all parties in transformational periods.
