With this in mind, we are excited to be leading the search to identify a new HR VP for the R&D population who can inspire and drive best in class employee value proposition and brand for this critical employee group. The role is based in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. With a global headcount of more than 3,000 in R&D this role is a critical catalyst in the achievement of extraordinary solutions.
This HR VP role reports to the HR SVP of R&D globally and enjoys multiple stakeholder and team relationships throughout the complex global matrix. There is a team of two HRBPs reporting directly to this role as well as access to best in class Centres of Excellence and HR Shared Services. The unique challenge of this role is to genuinely understand the needs of this highly scientific employee population and how best to facilitate their innovations and creative solutions.
This is a highly visible role and the successful candidate will have led the HR agenda across an innovation driven, R&D population. You will be used to supporting highly educated, scientific leaders in a complex and diverse world and you will have a keen interest in all things technical and scientific. You will have strong leadership, influencing and impact skills with the potential to move further in the future within the HR Global Leadership Team. The impact and leadership skills will be more important than scale or global coverage but experience of working with international R&D populations of 500 – 1,000 will be essential. Ideally, you will have worked in a technologically advanced sector where R&D and highly skilled innovation is critical to the success of the organisation. You will definitely have the desire to work in a diverse and complex world. Your depth and breadth of experience across the HR agenda will be sound and you will have had particular focus on future talent and workforce planning initiatives and your ability to take a strategic view on understanding the needs of a highly innovative business will be demonstrable.
