The Role
The Human Resources Director, Americas Region, will be part of the Americas Regional Leadership Team and have a matrix reporting relationship with the Business President and the VP of HR for the Division. This role will maintain strategic leadership of HR initiatives impacting more than 700 employees who are globally dispersed across North, Latin, and South America. They will be responsible for guiding a team of at least six (6) direct reports, located across the Americas, and rolling up their sleeves to assist with the local execution of HR initiatives. While there will be light Global COE support, the Human Resources Director, Americas Region will have the autonomy to impact total rewards, talent acquisition, talent management, etc. in the Americas. The core areas for strategic focus will be talent development, change management, change communication, coaching leaders through transitions, and assisting business leaders in scaling for a healthier future.
The Individual
The Human Resources Director, Americas Region will partner with the Business President and his executive team, thus it is vital their business acumen is at a level necessary to gain trust and influence decision making. Communication with key stakeholders will be vital in both understanding the business and developing HR initiatives that spur business growth, so this person must be an active listener. This leader will need to demonstrate an ability to elevate the capabilities of their direct reports, as well as increase the leadership capabilities of line, middle management, and senior leaders in the business. She/He must be able to challenge those around them in a respectful and professional manner, pushing back while also pushing forward. The individual most fit for this role will relish an opportunity where they are able to flex their strategic muscles and also roll up their sleeves to impact the business.
