The Company

ChapmanCG has been tasked by one of the top companies in the world to partner on their complex TA Director role for one of their most prominent business units. This American company is a large MNC with multiple business units and a huge presence in both Japan and Asia with over 20,000 people.

The Role

This will be an individual contributor role, based in Tokyo. The role will work to combine a Japan executive search with overseas functional recruiting for the Asia Pacific market. This person will be in charge of working in a highly matrixed organisation and working to contribute to the recruitment strategy of the region and leveraging global systems to help Japan take its recruitment practice to the next level. It will interact with key stakeholders locally and regionally and be required to influence and change strong leaders.  

The Individual

A solid understanding of TA and experience in working within a matrix organisation will be key for this role. Strong business acumen and an ability to influence key stakeholders around the best procedures from an HR perspective are key. Strong familiarity with the driving principles of the business and dealing with ambiguity will be essential for this role. Someone who is self-motivated and adept at building trust quickly. Experience within the life science industry is preferred for the role.
