Established over a century ago, this global business is a critical supplier of industrial products across various regions and markets. Their complex industry is fast moving and changeable and the organisation has a clear vision to grow and develop the business through their workforce. The organisation has strong global processes and operations supporting an aligned approach across its variety of businesses locations. With around 30,000 employees, the company operates a decentralised business structure, showing the value they place in their workforce.
The role will report to the CHRO and work closely with critical stakeholders all over the world. It’s an interesting and complex environment and the business centred role will form an essential part of the growth strategy, where people focus is at the top of the agenda. Using multiple channels, areas of focus will be to develop and implement strategies and processes within the areas of leadership development, employee engagement, performance management and planning and succession.
The individual will need to be business focused with experience of working in a variety of different sectors and markets, and ideally large organisations. Industrial manufacturing and/or services along with consulting experience in the talent management space will be preferred. Based in Belgium, you will be comfortable working within a matrix reporting environment and be prepared to be both hands on and strategic. You will be able to work well under pressure and across multiple time zones. Previous leadership experience would be an advantage and exposure to change management will also be important.
