The Role

The key to this position will be supporting department heads and directors in Japan. The position will enhance organisational efficiency and talent planning and implement strategies to boost capability and engagement. It will align HR with business goals and drive productivity as well as advise management on HR issues, develop leadership skills, and identify leadership talent. By partnering with HR COE, the position will work to improve talent management, performance, development, compensation, inclusion, employee experience, and training and ensure compliance with policies and laws. The role will promote organisational values and culture.

The Individual

Key to the success of this role will be possessing in-depth HR knowledge, strong English skills, and expertise in talent development, recruiting, and HRIS management. Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, analyse data, manage projects as well as prioritise tasks, and navigate Japanese labour laws and expatriate employment issues, all while being team-oriented, motivated, and adaptable.
