We are representing an extremely stable and successful global manufacturing company that provides engineering services for various industrial, commercial, and consumer applications and have contributed to development of the Internet of Things (IoT) for industrial automation. Japan has been a major focus market for this firm over the years and they continue to invest in the upskilling and upscaling of the organisation across the various business sectors.
This Head of HR will have a solid reporting line to the Regional GM and dotted line to APAC Head of HR. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of about 12 employees. The role is based in Tokyo but covers the whole Japan organisation. The company is in the midst of HR transformation; the role will have interactions with various stakeholders both locally and across the region to drive talent agendas. The Head of HR will provide the leadership and strategic direction to the HR team across HRBP, Shared Services and Centre of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Organisational Development and Total Rewards). They will drive the HR agenda, strategies and services that will attract, engage, motivate, develop and retain the best talent.
You will ideally have 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in a global MNC environment, working at both a strategic and executional level. Proven ability to understand strategic organisational issues coupled with deep business acumen is a must. You will have the ability to drive HR processes and deliver high quality HR services in a fast-paced, highly dynamic and matrix environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence all organisational levels are imperative.
