The Role

Based in either Brisbane or Melbourne and reporting to the Melbourne based Global Head of Employee Relations, the Employee/Industrial Relations Lead will be a relationship driven, proactive and strategic leader, with the opportunity to shape this new role.

Your primary responsibilities will focus in three areas:

– Team Leadership: leading a team of ER/IR professionals across Australia, as well as providing leadership advice to the broader business and HR function.

– Proactive Strategy and Risk Management: identify opportunities and risk and develop proactive, future focussed projects that drive world-class employee relations.

– External focus: be responsible for monitoring changes, engaging with stakeholders and representing the business externally.

The Individual

We are seeking a strong people leader with deep ER/IR expertise gained through lived experience. You will be relationship-focused, proactive, and pragmatic and effectively balance longer-term strategic thinking with delivering in the here and now.
