The recruitment of a seasoned HR Director will help it to establish a people centric agenda to its evolving platform and cement the organization as a key player in the region for many years to come. The operation in Mexico has an aggressive growth vision, looking to increase headcount by more than 100% over the next two to three years.
The Human Resources Director will manage a large multi-functional HR team that supports a growing Mexico site operation. The areas of focus include talent management and acquisition, employee relations, expat management, performance management, training, talent management and a broad range of Generalist duties. The HR Director will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of HR processes to create a smooth functioning organization and improved ease of access for employees. The HR Director will take an active part in the innovation of the organization through the creation of new initiatives including a new career planning program. She/he will also act as the Country Human Resources lead for the organization covering all business and commercial areas. The role interfaces extensively with leadership in US, Europe and local expats. This individual will also bring HR expertise of manufacturing operations to their clients and assist in influencing, coaching and counseling employees and managers throughout all business cycles.
We are looking for an experienced Country Human Resources Director with an in-depth understanding of the Mexico market, local practices and union management. Experience running a complex site which includes manufacturing and corporate functions for a multinational with 2000+ employees is desirable. The Ideal candidate will possess a deep generalist toolkit and an ability to switch between a tactical and strategic mindset. A background in organizational design and development is beneficial as the site continues to evolve. International work experience is also beneficial. This individual must possess strong networking skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment. Fluent English and Spanish language skills are a must. Current residence in Mexico is ideal but will also consider individuals living outside of Mexico with the required Mexican / LATAM background and experience to navigate the unions, legislation etc.
