The Role
The Head of OD will be responsible for driving measurable transformation and change across the company, with a focus on talent attraction, development, retention, leadership development, and employee engagement. This position will report to the Chief People Officer and lead a team of five. As a strategic adviser and thinking partner, the Head of OD will collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer and a diverse group of leaders. They will also be equally skilled and motivated to execute and implement major programs. This position must be physically based in Melbourne.
The Individual
This job requires a person who has successfully led and executed organisational development initiatives and actionable talent management plans across large-scale organisations or projects that have delivered tangible benefits. They should have significant change management experience and a strong desire to make a measurable and transformational impact on their people, customers, and business performance. In addition to having excellent strategy and execution skills, they should also be hands-on, strong at coaching and developing others, and able to energise the organisation. The size and scale of the OD challenges and opportunity to significantly continue to mature and evolve Talent practices and programs require a compelling leadership style that is influential and collaborative, decisive, data-driven, and straightforward. They should be able to bring others on the journey of change and transformation. The ideal candidate will possess commercial flair demonstrated by the ability to develop compelling business cases outlining benefits/ROI. This will be coupled with the confidence and expertise to impress and influence at the Board level.
