Through deliberate investment and development, this growing US domestic niche business is continuing to transform and thrive. To capitalize on the commercial opportunity ahead, the organization is looking for its next Head of Human Resources.
The Head of HR will lead all aspects of the function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement. Given the nature of the company and its current trajectory, this role is required to pivot between strategy and driving “day-to-day” execution. There is a heavy Talent agenda, particularly around employer branding, talent acquisition, workforce planning and succession planning. With approximately 1500 hires per year, both contract and permanent, the HR leader will need to be highly focused on talent topics and be able to efficiently attract, onboard, coach, retain, and develop/upskill the employee base via their own efforts and working through others.
The successful candidate will have at least 15+ years progressive HR leadership experience within complex, multi-site organizations. A proven leader, the Head of HR will have the confidence, stature, and executive presence to not only lead the HR function but also set an impressive tone as a mentor and coach to their peers on the leadership team. Overall, this role needs a passionate head of HR with strong EQ and the leadership skills to build a culture with a high level of employee engagement across a diverse workforce. Furthermore, we are looking for him or her to step outside of the traditional boundaries of HR and make a robust strategic contribution in enabling the company to continue to innovate and reinvent the sector it operates in. A degree in HR or a related field is required, MBA is preferred.
