Our client has a need to hire a Director, Head of Total Rewards to lead the global compensation, benefits and mobility charge both in the US and around the world. The Head of Total Rewards role is a highly visible position working closely with the executive leadership team and is a position of impact and influence within the organization. Reporting to the CHRO, the Director, Head of Total Rewards will create and maintain compensation and benefit programs that support the culture, vision and mission of the organization. He/she will lead, coach and develop a team of 6 direct reports to ensure the team develops and delivers compelling and competitive compensation and benefit plans for the employees. This person will participate as an active member of the HR leadership team and will be engaged in tracking the organizations goals, strategies and initiatives. The Director, Head of Total Rewards will spearhead the organization’s job architecture efforts. Working closely with the finance, legal and tax teams, this is a highly visible and collaborative role. Providing strategy, management, leadership and designing new programs with a consultative approach, the individual will help support an employee base of approximately 3,000 across the US, India, China and other developing countries.
Qualified candidates will have no less than 15 years of progressive experience leading total rewards programs, including global compensation, benefits and mobility in a global organization (emerging market experience is strongly preferred). Must have extensive job architecture experience. Knowledge and experience across the spectrum of broad-based total rewards and demonstrated experience creating and implementing strategy in a forward thinking and creative manner. Must have experience hiring, coaching and managing high-performing teams. He or she should have very strong business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the senior executive team and will have reported into a CHRO. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are necessary coupled with experience of working with the C-Suite and board exposure. Must have an undergraduate degree, a master’s degree is preferred.
