We are representing a global Fortune 500 company in the Professional Services and Investment sector. The German market is in growth mode and the HR function has recently been transformed to create this new position, giving the local team and the stakeholders an accessible senior HR leader in the market. With a global employee base of over 92,000 across 80 countries, in EMEA there are around 12,000 employees across 29 countries and 1,500+ in Germany. The role will be based in the German HQ offices in Frankfurt.
This HR Director role has been newly created as part of the HR transformation to provide onsite leadership to the German HR team of around eight direct reports and to support the key stakeholders in market. The role reports to the Head of HR for Central and Northern Europe and within the matrix structure to the Country Head. The workforce includes a large sales population as well as supporting and specialist functions. The HRD role will also support the other German speaking markets of Austria and Switzerland, where there are much smaller employee populations. The key focus of this role will be to manage the significant transformation and change happening both in HR and the business.
You will be experienced in working in internationally, matrixed organisations and leading HR teams. Ideally you will have had exposure to additional markets outside of Germany and you will speak English and German fluently. You will have worked in both generalist roles where you have had responsibility for the operational aspects of the HR agenda as well as strong HRBP experience, where you have developed effective business consultation that has contributed to organisational success. This is a great opportunity to utilise the processes, resources and thought leadership of the Global HR team and therefore concentrate on making a difference locally. There will be strong emphasis on talent and reward management.
