The Company

Our client is an American conglomerate and one of the largest chemical companies in the world. In 2015 they merged with another major chemical company and they will spinoff a new company as a result. The original company will be rebranded and this role will sit within it to support business growth.

The Role

This role is a HR Business Planning Manager role and will support the HR Director for APAC & EMEA. This person will report directly to the HRD and act as a trusted advisor. They will manage HR operations, analytics, organizational design, planning and strategic projects. There will be a strong communication element to the role with this person managing HR talking points and messaging. This person will need to be able to influence without authority as they won’t have any direct reports but will work closely with the HR Country Managers. Primary responsibilities will include managing and tracking business performance and reporting, working with the HR Analytics team to develop metrics, identifying cross functional HR issues, participating in HRLT meetings and facilitating the HR Strategic planning process.  

The Individual

They need to have in-depth APAC experience, coupled with a robust understanding of EMEA and be able to travel. A consulting background or experience in fast-paced growing environments with proven capability to scale up would be useful. He or she should demonstrate strong business acumen and have real desire to work closely with business leaders in driving business transformation and growth. They should have passion for innovation and driving continuous improvement of the organization. The successful role-holder should have enough gravitas and leadership skills to implement business-oriented HR strategies, but at the same time remain humble and be prepared to roll up sleeves when needed. This person will need strong skills in data analysis and interpretation, excellent written and verbal presentation skills, the ability to influence and guide all levels of employees, and advanced change management and strategic thinking skills.
