SVP Human Resources, Milwaukee, WI (US)

United States

The Company

This global public company has a long history and a strong reputation for quality in addition to a warm and vibrant culture. Due to business growth, it is working through a large-scale transformation which involves new business lines, acquisitions and operational changes. Technology will play a much greater role in the company in the future, and as a result, the culture, processes, hiring practices, and pay practices will evolve rapidly. Because of this transformation, the company has created a new SVP HR role to help enable this change and help to drive and support rapid business growth going forward.

The Role

Reporting to the CHRO, the SVP Human Resources role is global, but with a heavy initial emphasis on North America. It involves steering mergers and acquisitions, driving change management, and integrating business and cultural aspects seamlessly. Additionally, the role requires strategic HR expertise to ensure smooth transitions and alignment across various functions. While the initial focus will be North America, we are seeking an individual with significant global and international experience. This will enable the organization to evolve into a more integrated and cohesive global enterprise over time.

The Individual

We are seeking an established HR leader/business partner who can thrive in a fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment and be CHRO successor-ready within circa three years. Our client is very focused on finding an individual with enterprise HR experience who can bring robust international perspectives and quickly contribute to the company's growth and success on a global scale. Manufacturing and union experience within a public company environment are required for this position. A background in industrial/manufacturing, consumer products, energy and/or technology will be needed, and a mix of these industries will be ideal. The individual should have previously held CoE oversight. He or she should also have strength in compensation strategy and ideally will have experience with Boards and compensation committees. A good working knowledge of compensation practices in the technology industry would be a major plus. We are also looking for robust experience in mergers and acquisitions, cultural integration and overall strategic HR leadership.
