The Director, Human Resources, working closely with business leaders, will provide strategic leadership in planning, developing, implementing best-in-class processes and initiatives for two critical operations functions of the business. Partnering with HR Centers of Excellence, the Director will provide innovative, leading edge and practical business focused human resources services related to compensation, performance management, training, leadership development and talent acquisition. As the company goes through a major transformation this person will play an influential role with client groups regarding the deployment of human resources programs and ensure that they are properly implemented. They will act as a change agent to build awareness of new human resources initiatives in order to lead the cultural change. This is a key strategic role requiring strong business partner skills but equally important will be the quality of execution in order to drive the direction of HR.
The individual will be a strong professional who is highly recognized for their demonstrated and progressive leadership potential. They will have experience working in large complex environments with a significant engineering function which ideally includes experience with a mix of unionized and non-unionized employee groups in a geographically diverse business. Previous leadership experience leading high performing teams is mandatory along with the ability to build, mentor and inspire high performing teams. This person will need to demonstrate a mix of strong business acumen, organization development, and human resources expertise coupled with stakeholder management skills required to drive the development of the human resources function within the business. A bachelor’s degree is required along with outstanding communication and collaboration skills including a demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders across a business.
