Our client is a globally recognized consumer goods company providing premium products to a world-wide customer base. With over 80,000 employees, their products are sold in 180 markets. The organization is currently going through transformational change. This role can be based in New York, US or in Latin America.

The Role

The Senior Lead of Total Rewards is a key member of the HR team and a fundamental contributor supporting a large HR business transformation. As part of this transformation, this person will be responsible for taking the rewards and compensation strategy to another level, towards a more digital, innovative and employee-centered rewards system. A key responsibility will be to design, review and implement total rewards strategies and solutions, which build on best practice and utilize innovative ideas, in partnership with the respective markets. Solutions will be designed through deep understanding of the market dynamics, business environment and challenges. They will be sustainable, and meet employees’ needs and preferences to ensure attraction, engagement and retention. The Senior Lead will collaborate with global project teams, and contribute to the development and lead the delivery of innovative and competitive world-class programs, approaches and methods. This role will be responsible for defining the total rewards roadmap for each market within Latin America and Canada. This will include flexible options for employees where appropriate to ensure relevance, sustainability, inclusion and diversity, and external competitiveness. The successful applicant will serve as the total rewards subject matter expert by understanding the market, business and employees needs, monitoring and evaluating KPIs. They will provide the People & Culture team with insights and data, and develop new ways of doing things that test and stretch traditional thinking. This is a highly visible, high-impact role, working a leadership team that has an appetite for change.  

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility and experience within HR, Compensation and Benefits in a leadership capacity. They will have knowledge and experience across the spectrum of broad-based total rewards, and demonstrated experience creating and implementing strategy in a forward-thinking and creative manner. They will also have very strong business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the senior executive team. Exceptional communication skills are necessary, coupled with experience of working with global project teams. This individual will have experience working across the whole of the LATAM region, and with that, have a thorough knowledge of the local nuances in compensation and benefits in the region. In addition, they will be able to translate global initiatives and implement regional/local frameworks, taking into consideration local laws and regulations.
