We are pleased to be partnering with a privately held, global mid-sized manufacturer in its search for a Vice President, Global HR Business Partner. The company is recognized as a world leader in its industry and an innovator of new technologies for its various business segments. It has a broad global footprint and a strong HR organization. This double-hat role will operate in a matrix structure with a dual report into the CHRO and the business. It will be responsible for HR for a global division and it will also have oversight of HR for the Americas region including serving as the strategic HR Business Partner to the Americas CEO and President. There are 6 direct reports. The position is an important member of the global HR leadership team and will be expected to contribute to and improve global HR processes, programmes, and initiatives.
Qualified candidates will have more than 15 years’ experience, with some time spent in small/mid-sized industrial or manufacturing organizations. Deep global experience is a ‘must have’, with international experience (i.e., living and working outside of the United States) being ideal. The person we are seeking can lead through a period of growth and transformation, with a continuous improvement mindset. She/he must have clearly demonstrated success in developing the strategic direction of human resources and ensuring that initiatives align with the business goals and are well-executed. A proven record of success navigating a complex matrix structure will be needed, as will experience working closely with CoEs. The right person for this role will have well-developed stakeholder management and relationship building skills; strong business acumen; and solid exposure to optimizing HR operations and processes. He or she will also be adept at working through others, and a proven team builder, leader, and mentor.
