The Company
A very successful and highly regarded global Japanese manufacturing company employing more than 50,000 people worldwide. Headquartered in Tokyo, this organisation is gaining more and more global presence by acquiring some major players in Europe and the US. They are a highly innovative company and are continuing to invest in digitalisation and the advancement of technology on a global scale.
The Role
The role is a strategic partner to the CHRO, and other members of the HR and Business Leadership teams globally. You will oversee all aspects of People Operations, Data Insights and People Analytics across the business globally. This role will play a critical part in a wide range of initiatives, ultimately benefiting the employee experience, whilst consequently supporting the success and growth of the business. The role will be key in defining the future of work within the business and lead a move away from a focus on standardised processes to developing a more customised people experience. This leader will manage a team of three to four people (to be hired by the new Global Head of Employee Experience) and will work closely with various stakeholders across the organisation as they drive optimisation and process improvement using data.
The Individual
Solid exposure to a breadth of Employee Experience elements; Policy, Strategy, Technology, Data and ‘Employees as the Customer’ focused HR. Specific experience owning HR analytics; ability to harness the data to support decision making. Internationally experienced, preferably having lived and worked in more than one region. Experience working in global teams, leading global projects / initiatives, detailed knowledge of global processes. Ideally a blend of experience in HRIS, HR Operations and Generalist HR leadership. At least 15 years’ experience in senior HR roles, with a proven track record of delivering results through innovation and creativity.
