Our client is a multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry that produces branded drugs and performs pharmaceutical research and development. This company was formed following the merger of two companies and has approximately 20,000 employees worldwide.
The role will report to the Managing Director and the regional HR Director in Asia and manage a small team locally. In Japan, there are over 100 employees, mostly focused on commercial activity. Key responsibilities will include a strong need to drive the culture and the mindset in Japan, building and supporting a successful organisation locally, prioritise Employer Branding and EVP (Employee Value Proposition) as well as recommend and implement the best HR practices and add value to the global CoE as well as driving HR growth.
An individual with very strong English ability and near-Native level Japanese. This individual must build trust between HR and the rest of the local organisation while partnering with regional and global counterparts. Someone with experience in a small to midsized organisation with at least 10+ years as an HR generalist/BP is a must. Healthcare experience is welcomed but not critical.
