ChapmanCG has been tasked by one of the top companies in the world to partner on their complex Head of HR role. This American company is a large MNC with multiple business units and a huge presence in both Japan and Asia with over 20,000 people.
This profile will need to be one ofthe top talents in the Tokyo market or come from a regional role where they can lead a large HR team with effectiveness and efficiency while at the same time grow and empower their team to learn. Someone who can challenge but also help the leadership team make tough decisions with regard to HR issues and policies is desired. Lastly, they will require someone looking for a pathway to further roles that are larger in the region or globally, as exporting talent is a key initiative to drive diversity.
Someone who has led large teams in a matrixed environment is preferred. This individual will be expected to lead and influence those around them in a positive manner. Ideally someone with solid track record attracting and growing HR teams with an effective communication style to all levels, as well as ask and project management ability and agility to deal with complex projects but also handle the day to day of the business effectively.
