The Company
This Paris-headquartered Private Equity house has been strengthening its assets and reputation since foundation. Very much an icon in its product area, the business aims to globalise even further and there is a significant need to build a talent ecosystem for the organisation from scratch. In addition, the UK business needs a seasoned HR strategic business partner so this role will combine the “two hats”.
The Role
To be based in London, a broad HR Directorship position has opened up for a seasoned and commercial business partner to support an employee population and executive team who are driving more sophisticated people development/career strategies. The role will require a blend of strong strategic and operational talent skills, as well understanding and sensitivity to UK market challenges and nuances. This role will need to build a followship with both the Executive Team and the rest of the growing business. An interest and passion for financial services might be demonstrated in prior relevant businesses. It will be a pivotal member of the small HR function and will need to work closely with a mix of demanding stakeholders.
The Individual
To be successful, this position requires someone with significant HR business partnering expertise as well as an understanding of best practice in a banking/FS or other regulated industry arena. An ability to build credibility with stakeholders (who will be new to some of the learning interventions and talent management processes) makes this a role for the commercially astute. The individual needs to balance an ability and willingness to execute both operationally and from a strategic standpoint as well.
