The Company

We are working with a global pharmaceutical organisation recognised as one of the industry’s largest and most influential players worldwide. This company specialises in various aspects of the pharmaceutical sector, including research, development, manufacturing and distributing of a wide range of pharmaceutical products, encompassing prescription drugs, generic medications, and over-the-counter remedies. Known for its strong emphasis on innovation and research, this company is dedicated to creating and commercialising groundbreaking therapies and medicines to address diverse medical conditions and illnesses. Its global reach extends to established and emerging markets, ensuring the availability of its products to a broad spectrum of patients across the globe.

The Role

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) position could evolve into the role of Japan HR Head within  six months. Initially, this position will encompass a wide spectrum of HR responsibilities, including supervision of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Development, performance assessments, management of global HR projects, and the enhancement of overall employee engagement within a fast-paced and intricately detailed work environment.

The Individual

While experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be preferred, it is not essential. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of ten years of experience working for a foreign organization as an HRBP or HR Manager. It is essential that you can independently execute tasks related to Talent Acquisition and Talent Development, and have a good understanding of Matrix organizations. You should also be fluent in business-level English for effective global communication. As a Senior HRBP, you must be able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and collaborate with others on all HR initiatives. This role may be suitable for an existing HR Director, as it will transition into an HR Head position within six months.
