The Company

Our client is a US headquartered organisation and a high growth market leader in the pharmaceutical sector. Known for their strong values, their core mission is to deliver life-saving therapies to patients in need. This global organisation has a strong foothold across the EMEA region and continues to grow. Due to on-going expansion, the need has arisen to recruit an Employee Relations professional to join their EMEA headquarters in Greater London.

The Role

Reporting into the Global Head of Employee Relations in the US and managing a small team, the role will lead all ER related issues and matters across the EMEA region, which expands to the Middle East, Africa and Russia. This is an all-round role and as well as delivering strategic guidance to multiple stakeholders across the region, it will also provide hands-on case management. As an integral team member of the Worldwide Employee Relations team the individual will ensure global alignment on employment matters and deliver strategic priorities at a regional level. Using outstanding communication and presentation skills, the individual will provide insight to managers and employees throughout the organisation regarding employment principles, complex employee relations issues, performance management, workplace investigations and critical incident management.  

The Individual

The ideal candidate must have proven Employee Relations experience gained within a global organisation, as well as previous coverage of the Europe region. Pharmaceutical sector expertise is ideal but not essential. The individual will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, across multiple cultures and levels of seniority. Broad working knowledge and understanding of Human Resources legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and procedures is important, as is familiarity and comfort with changing, complex and ambiguous work environments. Above all the individual will be a collaborative and supportive team player, with a high energy and proactive approach to work.
