The Company

ChapmanCG is working closely with an industry-leading organization at the forefront of the warehouse club retail model, serving regions across Latin America and the Caribbean. The company is a publicly traded organization headquartered in the West Coast (US) with a major hub of operations in the Southeast (US). The organization has an extensive footprint in Latin America and the Caribbean, spanning 12 countries and serving a community of more than 3 million members. The organization is currently driving exciting growth following a steady trajectory that includes significant investments in real estate, covering both clubs and distribution centers. In addition, the organization continues to add digital channels to drive incremental sales, with a robust online presence.

The Role

The Regional HR Director aligns HR initiatives and functions with the business objectives, providing day-to-day advice and consultation to the IT department of the company. The IT division is currently undergoing a rapid transformation from a software product-based mindset to a customer-focused mindset, implementing formal Project Management and Agile Methodologies and working with the business to create an “integrated retailer.” This is an excellent opportunity for an HR leader with an affinity for the Information Technology space to elevate the HR function and redefine policies, procedures, and HR systems to drive meaningful business impact. One of the key focus areas of the role will be to fully integrate and harmonize the Costa Rican and US teams and bridge generational gaps. The position will also provide support to senior leaders, including the Chief Technology Officer and the Chief Transformation Officer. The IT division is one of the most relevant groups in the growth strategy for the company. This leader will oversee HR and lead the transformation.

The Individual

To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess significant HR Business Partner experience, preferably gained in an Information technology-related corporate environment, provided you also have supported client groups internationally through Latin America and the Caribbean. This role will best suit an HR leader with a hands-on approach to getting things done and a passion for talent. This leader must have a background in guiding a people function through a period of transformation, supporting international client groups and cultural integration. We are looking for someone with gravitas and credibility who understands the bottom line to support the agenda of the IT division. Other key attributes include a high degree of collaboration, an engaging personality, executive presence, and strong facilitation skills. Support of leaders in the organization in both English and Spanish at all levels is a requirement.
