The Role

The HR Director, Japan will manage HR functions in Japan, including advising local management and business partnering with the local CEO to drive the business transformation. Stakeholder management and senior leadership development will be key. Overseeing administrative processes, ensuring payroll compliance, leading recruitment, implementing HR programs, and maintaining budget goals while facilitating effective communication with employees.  

The Individual

We are seeking a candidate with political acumen and strategic thinking, someone who can engage with stakeholders, adapt to complexity. and who has a results-driven focus. In addition, they should have exceptional communication skills, a proactive, solution-oriented approach, and at least ten years of HR experience in multinational settings. The ideal candidate should have expertise in people and organisational development, people management, local labour laws, payroll, compensation, and HR systems. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in employee engagement and culture development.
