The Role
The Chief People Officer will run a team of 15 and report to a visionary CEO. There is a critical strategic change agenda to shape and implement, including international growth, building capability, and steering the leadership culture to ensure the business attracts and retains the right talent for the future. Culturally the organisation is highly collaborative and relationship driven. A degree of humility is required to be a team player at all levels.
The Individual
The person we are seeking should have deep exposure to consumer, luxury or retail, ideally they will have led an HR function from the top and be used to working with the CEO with board exposure. International experience, particularly in APAC will be advantageous where this person will be instrumental in shaping growth in markets such as China. Ideally you will have been on this growth and transformational journey as a CPO in a previous organisation in this sector. Understanding of omnichannel and building new long-term talent pools will be highly sought after. The Chief People Officer should be a strong leader and mentor who can demonstrate a track record in developing teams.
