A Closer Look at People Analytics Strategies: Leading with Evidence

ChapmanCG is delighted to be hosting an exclusive virtual People and Culture Lab discussing “A Closer Look at People Analytics Strategies: Leading with Evidence”.

The most forward-thinking companies are embracing people analytics to help them make sound and impactful talent decisions. What works? What doesn’t? What makes sense based on a company’s roadmap and its progress on that journey?

We will be joined by Salvador Malo, Global HR Strategy Director at Microsoft and Jordan Pettman, Global Head of People Analytics at Nestlé.

They will share insights, best practices, and their own creative ideas on how to build and lead a successful people analytics function and how this can result in more impactful approaches to talent planning.

Jordan Pettman

Global Head People Data, Analytics and Planning, Nestlé

An Australian peg currently in a UK based but Swiss Headquartered hole, Jordan has worked in People Analytics for over a decade, as both a consultant working with leading organisations all over the world, and now in house at Nestlé.

When he’s not leading people analytics and planning engagements, developing Centres of Expertise to enable people analytics and planning capabilities inside organisations,  or partnering business leaders to make decisions towards positive employee experiences and business outcomes, Jordan is most likely found in North London with his Chocolate Labrador, a theatre in London’s West End, or traveling to somewhere new and interesting (preferably with a beach and cocktails) that he can post photographs of sunsets to Instagram with his partner…. Covid19 pandemic pending.

Salvador Malo

Senior Director, Global HR Strategy, Microsoft

Prior to this he was the Head of Workforce Analytics at Ericsson. His HR experience includes 12 years in recruitment and succession planning, and he began his career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey. Salvador holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University, where he specialized in numerical simulations, and loves to work in the intersection of data and HR. He believes that deriving useful insights depends not only on translating business issues into questions that can be answered with the help of people data, but also on crafting a compelling message out of the answers. Salvador loves well-written novels, well-aged wine, and well-behaved (or not) dogs. He writes science fiction under a pen name.
