Our client is a leading global company in the production of ingredients for various industries. They are currently in a phase of growth and transformation, particularly in the area of Compensation and Benefits. As a market leader, they pride themselves on their unique and appealing selling points. The company is headquartered in the Weser Uplands in southern Lower Saxony with a global presence, employing 12,000 people.

The Role

The Global Lead, International Compensation & Benefits will play a key role in the ongoing transformation and development of Compensation and Benefits strategies and programs. The successful candidate will work with a diverse global network of HR colleagues and contribute to harmonizing strategies and ways of working. They will have the chance to drive innovation and be a sparring partner for senior management in the further development of Compensation and Benefits. The Global Lead, International Compensation & Benefits will have accountability for the development of job architecture, compensation benchmarking, and modern Compensation and Benefits instruments. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to corporate reporting, sustainability reporting, and pay equity initiatives.  

The Individual

A university degree with specialisation in human resources, finance, or a comparable qualification is essential for this role, in addition to at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable leadership position with a proven track record in global project management. The role also requires at least 10 years of operational work experience with responsibility for Compensation and Benefits in an international, multicultural business environment. Must have excellent knowledge in the development and implementation of Compensation and Benefits elements, with experience in digitalisation projects being advantageous. Extensive knowledge in Compensation and Benefits and in the analysis and management of HR processes as well as current compensation and benefits surveys and programs. Must have strong design thinking, ability to innovate, and interpersonal skills and be flexible, solution-oriented, and able to achieve results in an area that is undergoing change. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP and possess ahigh level of integrity and communication skills at all levels. The role requires fluency in written and spoken German and English.
