The Company

We are pleased to be partnering with a dynamic CEO as he searches for a new CHRO. The organization, a conglomerate of businesses in the services sector, is one of Americas most dynamic companies with a portfolio delivering upwards of $3B in revenues. A period of rapid growth is anticipated and the opportunity exists for the CHRO to make a significant impact in driving people and culture strategies which will ensure the business continues to dominate across its various market segments. The CEO is also passionate about delivering exciting career opportunities for the company’s near 5,000 employee base. It is a metrics-driven, execution-focused environment, led by a passionate and hard-driving leadership team which possesses a winning mentality.

The Role

The CHRO will lead an HR team of more than 50 people. S/he will be an accomplished HR leader who is resilient, people-focused and able to lead effectively and build culture in demanding external and internal environments. The overriding people plan is to build capability through effective strategic talent planning, sustainable organizational architecture and leadership development programs which help shape the skills needed to meet the demands of the business. Talent Acquisition will also be a critical focus, given the important need to meet rapid growth targets. This will require a hands-on approach to sourcing strategies and processes and onboarding programs for each part of the organization. The HR leader will also need to ensure that the ‘right’ people analytics are in place and that insights are being used to help chart a roadmap for the future. There will be a high level of interaction with other C-Suite Executives and the Board and so the individual will be expected to contribute to broader business decisions.

The Individual

Candidates for this role should have gained experience and ideally led people and culture strategies at academy HR companies. There is a preference for a mix of large and smaller company experience. An entrepreneurial style/mindset will be required. S/he will be experienced and proven in dynamic, fast-paced and ambiguous environments where business and people decisions need to be made quickly and pragmatically, using sound judgement. We are looking for a broad HR generalist/business partner profile with deep strength and expertise in Talent Acquisition and Management, OD, and Leadership Development. This individual will need to be sharp, resilient and confident in their own abilities given the strong personalities on the leadership team. This role would suit an HR leader with a mixed industry background and someone who has demonstrated an ability to succeed in hard-charging environments.
