The Company

Our client is a leading consumer goods company with global revenues in excess of $5bn. Having worked with this company successfully in other regions, we now have the opportunity to help them complete a critical Employee Relations search for their Americas organization. The Americas business is approximately 3,000 people and likely to grow as the company reviews its acquisition strategy. This role reports to the Global Head of Employee Relations and is based in the New York area.

The Role

This is a newly created role which will redefine and strengthen Employee Relations capability across the Americas regions in-line with corporate strategy. Working with Regional HR Business Partners, this role will provide advice and counsel on all Employee Relations issues relating to problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance. This will involve ensuring that investigations and disciplinary procedures are conducted in accordance with global policy and local regulations and documented effectively. Utilizing a legal background and commercial acumen, this position will also require the individual to influence across a complex, matrix organization as further inorganic growth and transformation happens. Furthermore, the individual will provide training and development platforms where needed. This is an individual contributor role.  

The Individual

We are looking for a motivated, tenacious and highly experienced Employee Relations professional with a track record working in large scale complex matrix environments. The individual should possess a good working Knowledge of human resources concepts, in addition to related regulatory nuances which exist across the Americas region. You will be resourceful, organized, hands-on and know how to push back and influence through senior HR and business stakeholders. A legal background with subsequent multinational experience would be ideal.
