We have been working with this organization across the globe for the past 3 years and have paid close attention to how it has transformed its leadership culture, HR strategy and engagement practices. We are delighted that this growing leader in the industrial and engineering sector has asked us to help with another critical hire. This time within the newly created Talent CoE. The Director of Leadership Development will play a key role in shaping the organizations leadership for many years to come. This position is based in New Jersey and requires global travel.
Reporting to the Global Head of Talent, this is a newly created and critical role which will play a key part in defining the organizations talent development culture. Working in a new CoE construct, he/she will work closely with HR and business leaders globally to assess the capabilities of their functions. This collaboration will drive the building of robust programs and processes to ensure that talent can be effectively identified, assessed, and nurtured. He/she will strive for transparency around data and the overall health of the talent pipeline and use this information to identify development opportunities. Specific areas of focus will include leadership development (front line to executive level), performance management, strategic workforce planning, succession planning, assessment, selection, and onboarding. As one of the first hires in this new global CoE, this is a highly visible role and one which commands dedication and a combination of strategic and tactical application.
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in designing, delivering and sustaining global leadership development initiatives across multiple levels of management. This will require the ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and influence without ownership. Experience gained within a global multinational is therefore a prerequisite. As is demonstrating expertise in building succession plans, HIPO strategies and implementing talent assessments and reviews. Our client will consider candidates who come from HR Business Partner roles, providing that a core thread of talent, organizational design and strategic workforce planning was evident. This role would suit an individual who likes to build and take ownership and be held accountable for their successes and challenges.
