Our client is a global US media and entertainment organisation with a complex business structure. They have multiple business divisions across the region. The culture is fast paced and dynamic with quick decisions and an action orientated ethos. There is some growth but the real investment is in digital innovation.

The Role

This role, based in Munich, is a pivotal position within the EMEA Regional Hub for the central Europe territories, currently Germany, Austria, Russia and Switzerland. This person will play a critical part in evolving the operating model, supporting the country HR operations within this region as well as taking the Commercial HR partnership and employee experience in country to the next level. This role is responsible for creating and implementing the people agenda to support the overall organisational priorities whilst representing each of the BUs accordingly. Talent, OD and workforce planning all sit with the HRBP’s so this is a real opportunity to partner with the business and shape the strategy.  

The Individual

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR business partner with the ability to manage people across a complex region. Most likely they will currently be sitting in a senior HR manager role for Germany or a sub region and be looking to step up. Ideally they will have managed 1-2 people in the past. The person must have worked in dynamic and commercial environments demonstrating agility and experience of working across complex matrix set ups. Ideally the person will have a blend of strategic business partnering with the ability to operationalise and deliver. A ‘can-do’ and resourceful attitude will be important given the size of the team. They will be required to lead from the front. The candidate must be fluent in German and English and have a clear and eloquent communication style. Culturally they must be able to work well under pressure and bring a pragmatic and agile attitude. They must possess commercial acumen and a team ethos.
