Final Stages United States

The Company

This entrepreneurial multinational is in the services sector and boasts many the world’s leading corporations as clients. The company has a very global mindset and a strong customer orientation. Due to its growth, we are now seeking an Americas Head of Human Resources, to be based in New Jersey.

The Role

This role will lead all aspects of the HR function. It will sit across several business units including remote sites. The position is responsible for ensuring the business has the people and organizational capabilities to continue its profitable growth trajectory. The Head of HR will need to define and communicate the strategic direction for the HR function, but also be hands-on in ensuring excellence in executing on the strategic plan. It should be noted that there is a significant employee relations aspect to the role. Currently there is a solid HR team in place, with a varying level of quality and experience. We are looking for someone who can raise the bar on HR practices generally – including enhancing HR business partnering capabilities; and building the strength of the CoEs. There is a heavy focus on change and talent management and succession planning.

The Individual

The person we are seeking will likely have 15-20 years of experience with at least some of that having been spent in small and mid-sized organizations. Deep international/global experience is mandatory; and there would be a preference for someone who has experience living and working outside of the United States. A hands-on and engaging leadership style is required for this role. We are looking for an accomplished business partner who has a heavy customer focus and robust financial acumen. Some specialist Compensation & Benefits experience would be a major plus. Style and culture fit will be key to the selection process. The right person for the job will be extremely agile -- operationally and commercially focused and a ‘doer’. He or she will be a hands-on leader who can be highly task focused while driving the overall strategy. Another ‘must’ is that this person will have a history of recruiting, retaining, growing and mentoring individuals and teams. He or she will also be highly skilled working cross-culturally. Proven expertise in employee/industrial relations, with a firm grasp of employment law/practices is another core requirement.

Unless the advertisement specifies otherwise, only HR Professionals who are legally able to work in this country can be considered.
