This position reports into the Group HR Director in London and will be tasked with augmenting a ‘brown-fields’ talent and learning function towards best in class. There will be scope to shape and build an innovative talent and learning agenda whilst remaining pragmatic to the business needs and their current appetite for change. The digital learning agenda is a key priority and this person can really make an impact here, particularly around mobile tablet and gamification innovations. There is the need to blend talent and learning theory with a practical approach to ensure business objectives are met. Resources will be lean so this person will need to operationalise some of their own strategy and deliver. There will also be the opportunity to build, grow and galvanise a team.
This individual will need to be able to deal with high degrees of ambiguity and a lack of structure. They should be a natural influencer and come with a can-do, high-energy attitude. We are looking for a track record in talent management and learning & development positions. Ideally, you will have some exposure to marketing-led environments where creativity underpins business strategy. This will help you really connect with the business – commercial acumen is a ‘must have’. Global experience is not essential but advantageous, however experience of working in more than one region is critical.
