It is now looking to pull out its consulting services practice from under the umbrella of these industry verticals to form a central entity which will still feed into these groups, but also allow it to improve the effectiveness of the consulting population through improved exposure and development opportunities worldwide. This role is based in either Reading or London.
This is a newly created position reporting to the Global Head of the Consulting and dotted line into the International Head of Human Resources. As the global HR leader for the consulting business group, you will help drive both cultural and structural transformation to align with ongoing business goals. Supporting a client group of close to 1,000 people, and growing, and having a broader impact on the wider consulting employee base (over 6,000), this individual will drive both the strategic and tactical operations of the HR function. This will entail the full spectrum of talent management, leadership development, organisational design and effectiveness, compensation and benefits planning and employee relations. Key to the success of this business will be the organisation’s ability to stay competitive, attract, retain and develop the best people and to ensure engagement at every step of the employee lifecycle. This individual will be an Ambassador of the global organisation and set high standards in terms of practices, stakeholder management, a culture of performance and business partnership.
It is important that the individual has held global HR lead roles in a highly matrixed complex organisation, preferably supporting a globally dispersed consulting client group. He/She will possess a good understanding of global delivery modes proven ability to develop and drive people strategies which deliver support for a rapidly growing business. It is an exciting period of change for the organisation and so experience to managing through periods of change and transformation is critical. The individual should thrive in ambiguity and be willing and able to take on challenges and switch gears at short notice. Strengths in building and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships will be key. This role suits a senior HR leader who thrives on change and wants to make a visible impact.
