With a strong family of brands, it controls a significant share in its niche market. Globally Headquartered in Europe, there has been a real push to enhance the effectiveness of the Human Resources function across a critical part of their Global business, the North America region. A strategy to relocate a significant part of the business from coast to coast has created this unique opportunity to play an integral role in the transition and form part of the new HR team. This role is based in Manhattan, New York.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources for the North America Region and working closely with business and functional leaders, you will aid the smooth relocation of staff, in addition to performing key talent acquisition duties. You will assess where critical talent gaps exist and drive external recruiting efforts to source new talent and ensure its smooth transition into the new organizational set up in New York. This is truly a unique opportunity as a quasi HR Business Partner-Talent Acquisition lead. A project management mentality is needed as the individual will need to work to preexisting time-lines for the relocation and build-out and set new targets and deliverables with leadership. This individual will also work closely with the regional compensation and benefits lead on mobility and staffing matters. Once the transition is in good order, the individual will perform more recognized duties as a HR Generalist supporting the North America region commercial business. This region comprises operations across the US, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean markets.
We are looking for a hands-on individual for this position and someone who can partner effectively with HR and business leaders across an organization with complex matrix relationships and different cultures. We need to see strong technical knowledge of talent acquisition, project management, and broad HR generalist skills. Previous exposure to managing change and transformation, and a reallocation of staff is highly desirable. Above all, you will demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation and a customer focused approach. This role would suit an individual who thrives in an ambiguous environment and reacts well to a challenge. Fluent spoken and written English is essential with a strong grasp of Spanish language preferred.
