The Role

Based in Shanghai or Singapore, the role will lead HR for the Asia Commercial organisation and oversee a small team. This individual will be a strong HR Business Partner and will work closely with HR in other regions especially in EMEA & ANZ. He or she will manage the full spectrum of HR for the Asia Commercial organisation (largely Sales in Asia). Key geographies are China, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Taiwan. This role will play a crucial role in developing and executing human resources strategies including identifying key initiatives to enable the development of a high performing organisation in existing and new geographies. He or she will build strong, credible and strategic relationships with the leadership team and be seen as a role model for the Asia HR team. This position reports to a very senior European HR leader who is an open and direct communicator and expects this from his team.  

The Individual

We are looking for a strong HR Generalist with a particular strength in talent acquisition and development. OD skills will also be very useful. A well rounded leader who can work at senior levels but also be very hands-on is required. He or she should have experience working regionally and should be comfortable facing out internationally. Mandarin and English language fluency will be required. Candidates who do not have prior regional experience can be considered provided they have prior experience reporting out regionally or internationally and provided they are well travelled and have a strong understanding of business culture across the region.
