Based in California, this position has overall responsibility for global Human Resources, reporting to a dynamic CEO. The role has responsibility for a team of 50+ HR professionals. Over the next 12 months, key deliverables will include leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and HR systems and processes – all on a global scale. Due to rapid growth, these capabilities are in place but still ‘work in progress’. Longer-term strategic planning, and putting in place a world-class HR platform to accommodate continued future growth is also an important area of emphasis.
The ideal candidate would be an established CHRO who has proven experience in a mid-cap company of US$5-10 Billion. However, an exceptional #2 person from a larger environment can also be considered. Global manufacturing industry experience is mandatory – with high tech hardware manufacturing being preferred. Style-wise, the ideal fit would be a direct and open communicator, business focused, numerate and data driven, very practical, and no ‘fluff’! M&A experience would be an asset. Board exposure and excellent senior stakeholder management skills will be needed. Global/international experience is a ‘must’, as is deep cultural sensitivity.
