Due to internal changes, the business leadership team have agreed to appoint a new Global VP of HR. The position will be based in Lisbon, Portugal with frequent international travel.
The Global VP of HR will report directly to the CEO and sit as part of the executive leadership team. You will have oversight and responsibility for the full HR function and be focused on supporting the long-term vision and business strategy of expansion and growth. You will be required to manage a team across key sites in all markets that include China and the USA, as well as the European operations, whilst driving better structure and efficiency in the HR function. Nurturing the company culture and their deep values, while providing expertise around talent, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness will be critical to your success.
You should be an international HR leader who has managed the end-to-end HR function for a global business unit within a larger firm or a mid-sized stand alone company as the Global HR Head. Pharmaceutical exposure, specifically around R&D quality and manufacturing will be critical, as will a demonstrated track record of being on the executive team of a fast-growth business and comfortable with the demands this brings. Team leadership of a virtual HR function will be important alongside the ability to operate in an ambiguous and unstructured environment. This is not a classic HR leadership position and an individual with high commercial instincts, curiosity and humility and the appetite to operate as a business leader not just an HR leader will fit best.
