This global organization has a vision of incorporating a strong sense of culture in its popular retail food business, and is looking to expand its existing business operations across North America. The leadership team is keen on ensuring that the company pursues a growth strategy that is open to every option available, while retaining its roots as a fusion influenced food retail business.
Reporting to the North American Business Lead and overseas based CHRO, this is a newly created and critical role which will play a key part in defining the organizational design and culture of the regional business, as well as managing its end-to-end strategic and tactical HR functions. He/she will work closely with HR and retail business leaders to assess the capabilities of the organization’s workforce, and ensure that they are set-up to drive performance. Other key responsibilities include positioning the company’s employer branding in line with the talent acquisition strategy, and enhancing the talent management function to ensure optimal levels of talent engagement and performance are achieved.
The successful candidate will possess a broad HR generalist ability, with a focus on designing and managing an organization around multi-cultural talent in a high growth marketplace. Strong preference will be given to someone who is able to support an overseas food retail business “on the ground” while reporting to an international headquarters. Cultural sensitivity is a must, as this business has catered to traditional tastes and menu offerings in the home region. Aside from acting as a strategic visionary and partner to the business, the candidate must also be able to act tactically and implement HR programs through effective and visible change management techniques.
Unless the advertisement specifies otherwise, only HR Professionals who are legally able to work in this country can be considered.
