We have recently started an exciting journey with a global player in the industrial engineering space. Because of recent large scale structural changes and a sharpening of business focus around key product and service offerings, several key leadership roles have been created. To staff critical functions across the organization, the Global Head of Talent is looking to bring on board a new Talent Acquisition lead who will play a key role in the build and buy strategy at all levels of management. With annual revenues, more than $7bn and operations in more than 40 countries, the opportunity presents its share of complexities. The role could be based in any number of locations across the US with Minneapolis, St Louis or Seattle being preferred.
Reporting to the Global Head of Talent, you will be responsible for developing and driving recruitment strategies across all major business lines globally. Stage one will be to select and manage an RPO relationship globally including the initial implementation of this model. This will include the assessment of business needs, designing solutions, and assessing possible resources, and evaluating the effectiveness for continuous improvement of the recruitment model. You will also support senior management with special projects and resourcing needs at Vice President and Executive levels and lead the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS). To be successful in this role, you will build credibility with business leaders and functional experts and look beyond the recruitment cycle to foresee the impact of human capital on the business and its growth plans. As an ambassador of the company, you should also develop employment branding strategies and identify ways to improve the onboarding process. This role would suit an experienced talent acquisition manager who is looking to build a global function from the ground up.
Selection requires demonstrable experience in delivering a global recruitment strategy which utilizes in part an RPO model. As such, vendor and stakeholder management skills are essential as is the ability to put in place and track valuable metrics as measurement of success. Tenure within a fast paced, results oriented multinational which operates a heavy matrix reporting stricture is a prerequisite. Enthusiasm, energy, and commercial savvy are critical for success. Opportunities for career advancement are real and are even encouraged within this organization. Flexibility to travel between US locations and globally is essential.
