Completed United Kingdom

The Company

Our client is a globally renowned consumer goods organisation. The business has been highly acquisitive in recent times and is growing its footprint incrementally. Whilst the current HR function is effective, there is significant room for improvement, innovation and further alignment to the business. The context of change and fast growth particularly in emerging markets, give this organisation the feel of a start-up despite its legacy and heritage.

The Role

This position would oversee the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management functions and was created to ensure a holistic approach to talent both inside the organisation and externally. Traditionally ran in siloes these two disciplines are being brought together. This will hugely benefit the organisation in the way it attracts, retains and engages existing talent globally. The role will be based in London and run a large team. This individual will be tasked with building and designing the combined function, driving the talent strategy from conception to implementation. Systems, processes and talent ‘infrastructure’ will also sit with this person so they must be hands-on as well as strategic.

The Individual

We are looking for a true talent expert who has some deep exposure to Talent Management. Ideally, you will have some previous global experience in Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, but the talent piece is most critical. The ideal blend of experience would be someone who has worked in both established best-in-class environments coupled with some high growth start-up exposure. There is significant ambiguity here so this person must be able to demonstrate agility and a flexible, pragmatic approach. They must be culturally aware and able to handle change, showing tenure in the organisations they have worked in. In terms of style, the ideal fit would be someone who has a positive outlook, high energy levels and a ‘fail fast’ philosophy and approach.

Unless the advertisement specifies otherwise, only HR Professionals who are legally able to work in this country can be considered.
